I have no ice

Standard

First world problem alert: I have no ice.

Actually, I have one small block that is sitting in my glass of cold creaming soda right now. That was the only one in the ice maker in my freezer. How disappointing. I went to the freezer thinking I would have half a glass full of lovely chunky ice cubes to crack in my teeth and that was all that I found.

I have since fixed the problem for the future by filling all ice makers including a new one that makes cute little pineapple shaped ice cubes. That was a bonus $5 buy when I recently made a purchase at one of those trendy shops with random things that aren’t necessarily needed but very fun to have.

It has been a fantastic day at work, in quite hot conditions, so I deserve (and need) a lovely sit down and ice drink. I actually don’t feel my illness right now, and that is a worry due to how much energy I spent. There will be repercussions. But right now I feel good and the ice in my drink would have finished off the situation nicely.

Reality check:

783 million people do not have access to clean water and almost 2.5 billion do not have access to adequate sanitation.   (www.unwater.org/water-cooperation-2013/water-cooperation/facts…/en/)

No, I’m good really. No need to worry about ice here.
